Alcove Wardrobes
Every space counts
Guide price £5,000 - £12,000
Alcoves are often some of the most underused spaces in the home, yet with thoughtful design they can become beautifully practical storage. Our bespoke alcove wardrobes are designed to fit seamlessly into these awkward spaces, transforming unused corners into elegant, functional furniture that feels like it has always been part of the room.
Whether positioned either side of a chimney breast, built beneath sloping ceilings, or designed to make use of an unusual layout, every wardrobe is made specifically for your home. We take the time to understand how you live and what you need to store, ensuring the finished piece works effortlessly in everyday life while complementing the character of your home.
Because every room is different, every wardrobe we create is entirely bespoke. From contemporary, minimalist designs to more traditional styles suited to period properties, you can choose from a wide range of materials, finishes and details. Internal layouts can be tailored with adjustable shelving, drawers, hanging rails, lighting and other thoughtful features to create storage that is genuinely useful.
One of the greatest advantages of a bespoke alcove wardrobe is the ability to make full use of available space. Unlike off-the-shelf furniture, which often leaves awkward gaps and wasted areas, our fitted wardrobes are designed around the exact dimensions of your room, creating a seamless built-in appearance while maximising storage.
Our furniture is handcrafted by skilled cabinet makers using carefully selected materials and traditional joinery techniques. We believe that well-made furniture should not only look beautiful when first installed, but continue to serve your home for many years to come.
Make it yours
Every wardrobe is fully bespoke, with a wide choice of materials, finishes and configurations to suit your space and style, from clean modern designs to more traditional pieces. Finishes include hand-painted and spray options, clear lacquers and stains, with internal layouts tailored using adjustable shelving, hanging rails and concealed or external drawer storage. Integrated LED lighting can be added inside the cabinetry, and a range of high-quality hardware is available, including soft-close Blum runners and hinges, traditional brass butt hinges, and other specialist fittings to suit the overall design.

FAQ

A bespoke wardrobe is a custom-built storage solution designed to fit seamlessly into your home, maximising space and meeting your exact needs. Every element is made-to-order, from the dimensions and internal layout to the materials and finishes, ensuring both practicality and aesthetic harmony. Whether you need additional hanging space, built-in drawers, or specialised compartments, a bespoke wardrobe is crafted around your lifestyle.
An off-the-shelf wardrobe, on the other hand, is a standard, pre-made piece of furniture available in fixed sizes and designs. While these can be convenient, they rarely make full use of available space and often require compromises in terms of fit, function, and style. Gaps, wasted space, and mismatched finishes can be common issues when trying to integrate a mass-produced piece into your home.
Choosing a custom-built wardrobe means:
A perfect fit – designed for awkward spaces, alcoves, or sloped ceilings.
Tailored storage – with shelving, hanging rails, and compartments that suit your exact needs.
Superior craftsmanship – built to last with high-quality materials and expert joinery.
Seamless design – complementing your home’s style for a refined, built-in look.
With a bespoke wardrobe, you don’t have to compromise on space, function, or aesthetics—it’s made for you, and only you.
